For some time now, I've closely followed a lot of very informative sites about media and about the publishing industry, although I haven't found one that specifically addresses the needs of the (relatively) small world of book publicity. Since I find myself quite voluble at times about issues that pertain to my job, I thought I'd set up a blog.
The purpose of this blog is provide tips, primarily, but also information about trends that will help book publicists do their jobs with greater ease and efficiency. Since I happen to be a pretty techy, gadgety person, posts will skew towards how we can integrate technology into our lives / jobs, although this is not, by any means, a technology blog.
I'm not looking to promote any one publication / blog / show / venue / etc., although in cases where there are objective and quantifiable differences between items, I'll point that out.
